This song is essentially all my favorite kinds of dance music crammed into one place. A little Deadmau5. A touch of Daft Punk. A healthy dose of the Bee Gees. And just enough New Order to keep it from getting too comfortable.

Tiffany Anderson, who has been with the show, like Eitan, from day 1 plays the cello.  For funsies we ran her cello through an mxr phase 90 pedal.  Few things make me happier than a string player treating their instrument like a guitarist.  She’s so punk.

There are two very specific quotations tucked inside. One is a string figure from “More Than a Woman.” The other is a drum fill lifted from “Land of Confusion.” They’re not hidden particularly well. See if you can catch them!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Grace McNally, Mikey Di Graci and Shania Jackson. I said to them one rehearsal, hey just go off on the final verse. See what happens. And yet again more proof…trust the people you work with…they only make things better.
